In light of another harsh Gospel reading from the book of Luke, we are forced to ask “how do we love our neighbors as ourselves and honor our parents and simultaneously hate them? And why must we hate them?” Fr. Greg Peters explains how we as followers of Christ are called to live the ascetic life, and how this life is seen most clearly in our weekly celebration of the Eucharist.
